LG BD570 came to my attention by word-of-mouth, and I was skeptical at first. Could a Blu-ray disc player like this really do everything it claimed to? Well, I'm glad I gave it a try. LG BD570 lived up to - and beat - every one of my expectations. What I like the most is that the integrated WiFi connecticity allows you to take advantage of NetCast™ and you can watch the best movies, TV shows and other stuff from the Internet, directly on your TV screen (computer or messy wires are not required).
With CinemaNow™, you can get instant access to pay-per-view movies from major studios directly to LG BD570 Blu-Ray Disc player. The full premium content catalog can be browsed straight off and selections can be watched immediately. You will also have an unlimited instant access to over 12,000 Netflix® movies and TV episodes when you subscribe. Next, there's a direct access to the millions of videos available through YouTube. All you need is an active Internet connection. With Vudu™ you get major studio releases in Full HD 1080p and Dolby Digital Plus sound.
LG BD570 works as advertised. It was very easy to connect to my wireless network and I was up and running in about five minutes. Netflix has easily become my best-loved feature of the LG BD570. Standard DVD Up-Scaling is also excellent, which was a relief to me. I don't have to replace my entire DVD collection with Blu-ray and my older movies and shows look better on my LG BD570 Network Blu-Ray Disc Player. Also, updating the firmware is unbelievably easy. You just push a button and wait for the device to download the updates from the server.
What I don't like about LG BD570 is its cheap feel and some parts like front door, hinge...Also, the lack of a keyboard remote.
Bottom line is I could recommend LG BD570 to a friend and would even buy another one myself.
